The US healthcare is one of the most expensive and the most over reaching. However it is shameful that we spend billions of dollars but get so little. The US tax payers pay for the services that are considered red medicaid or medicare. Nothing is free. However the current healthcare business is a business with no owner. No regulator. No body to blame when things are not working. The current healthcare system is being taken for a ride by those with means: health insurance companies, drug companies, wall street and the hospitals. Healthcare is not free. It will never be free. It was never free. Healthcare has been paid by US taxpayers from its inception. None of what the government does is free. Every penny is coming from taxpayers directly or indirectly. Hence healthcare as we know it is not free. That should not be hard to understand for a five year old.
Some states oppose healthcare for all. I say lets create a healthcare for the states that wants it. States that want a universal healthcare should be allowed to join hands and create a system so when their citizens move between state lines they will still be insured as long as they are within those states. States that oppose healthcare for all should be allowed to go without it as long as they want or design their own way of healthcare. States that either dont like people being healthy, or living older healthy should not be allowed to dictate for the states that want a quality healthcare.
Let the states that dont get it sit it out as long as they are willing to kill their own citizens. Soon or later they will come to their senses or they will design something better than what we are offering. Either way, they will change if we change. Healthcare paid by our money should not be on the table for discussion unless we consider our citizens as mere subjects or customers. No discussion necessary with those who lack the information or data to make humane decisions. Other countries such as Ethiopia could design systems as such by introducing a small tax to pay for a country wide health insurance.
